These days, everything for us has to be fast, efficient, time saving and comfortable. We expect everything to work flawlessly while putting in less effort as much as possible.

There are so many people spending money and time going to gyms and focusing on generalised training sessions but with no actual outcome, just to find out, that when they want to pursue their leisure activities, they are unprepared and in pain. Back, shoulder, knee problems and pains are a daily complaint.

When it comes to our body and how it works, we now know more than ever before. We are now aware of what is healthy to eat, drink and indulge in. In short, we are now conscious of our lifestyles and what we should be doing but we also forget about the basics in the process. Functionality is the word – but what does it mean? It means that your body should ‘function’, that it should work in all the ways it is meant to work in, and that you should be able to cope with all of the daily tasks. With all the knowledge we now have, it should be easy to know what input you have to provide in order to get the desired outcome.

Healthfirst Fitness Club focuses on these basics. We start with individual assessment to establish the weak points and areas you personally have to focus on and improve. We try to ascertain your personal concerns and what you want to see happen i.e. your wellness and health-style goals. We look at your current lifestyle, wellness and your circumstances and your view on health style. We try to understand your needs; what you need your body to be able to do, and we try to work out a fitness plan that evolves around you. We think outside of the box.

We are not reinventing the wheel; we are simply spinning it around. Unlike other gyms, at Healthfirst Fitness Club you will start your individual sessions with a PT.  The trainer will assess you and work with you on your basics;  your possible aching areas and obvious weaknesses which could initially mean working on your flexibility or coordination skills.  Please bear with us  – we will teach you what you need to know about your body and its infinite possibilities. As soon as you have established your basic capabilities, we will work with you individually ‘247’ and their after, may put you in a group that is a right fit for you. This might include like-minded people whom you may be able to relate to or identify with and can encourage each other. Or you might be in a group which will push you in exactly the same direction where you need to be, making the workout just a little bit too cold for comfort for you but getting you the desired Health, fitness and Performance outcome.

Some things may become easy for you, while for some, you will have to work hard for.  The old adage  of ‘no pain, no gain’ is still as relevant in fitness today  as it is in all other areas on life. There is no accomplishment without putting in the effort.

Healthfirst Fitness Club focuses on you as a person. We will not just let you train by yourself for months without actually ever reaching your goals. We will enable you to push your body to its full potential, to reach what it should be able to do and also to prepare you for what you want your body to be.

We strive to make you to reach your fitness goals while preventing physical injuries and pains in the process.  With us, you may no-longer need to wait and make a booking with a physiotherapist nor will you be in need of making an appointment at the doctor for medication or even an surgery. It is your body, and our philosophy at Healthfirst Fitness Club is to teach you how to treat it with respect – and with a little bit of “Tough love”.
